We want to offer our guests not only a pleasant stay but also to show how we take responsibility for nature, energy, the region, and resources. It is important to us to communicate openly and honestly: we show what has already been implemented and also talk about where we want to develop further.
Green Energy
Our main focus is on green energy. On our roof, we operate a 100 kWh photovoltaic system with which we generate a significant part of our electricity consumption ourselves. Additionally, we have an 80 m² solar thermal system that produces around 44,000 kWh of heat annually.
The electricity we need additionally is exclusively sourced as green electricity from hydropower from Alperia. This way, we combine self-generation with a consciously chosen renewable electricity supply. For us, this is a central component of a resource-conserving and future-oriented operation.
E-Mobility
In the field of mobility, we also want to support sustainable solutions. That is why we provide our guests with 8 charging stations for electric cars. This facilitates climate-friendly travel and creates an offer for guests who want to shape their vacation consciously and more environmentally friendly.
Resource Conservation in Everyday Life
Sustainability begins for us in daily operations. Therefore, we pay attention to a conscious use of energy, water, and materials. As part of our Good Travel Seal audit, among other things, our energy-saving measures, water-saving measures, waste separation, waste avoidance, and reduction of single-use items were positively evaluated.
These measures are not an extra for us but lived everyday practice. Especially in a small operation, many small, consistently implemented decisions make a noticeable difference.
Water and Environment
Responsible use of water is naturally included for us. We rely on water-saving devices, conscious use in operations, and regulated wastewater treatment. Also, the careful handling of towels and laundry is part of our understanding of sustainable management.
Equally important to us is the protection of our natural surroundings. The audit report confirms our nature-friendly actions, the mindful handling of biodiversity, animal protection, and our commitment to local nature conservation work.
Regionality and Breakfast
Sustainability for us also means valuing the region and its products. This becomes particularly visible at our breakfast buffet: here we offer a variety of regional products and, when possible, also focus on organic and Demeter-certified products. This way, we want to offer our guests a delightful start to the day that is both close to the region and in harmony with our understanding of sustainability.
We also pay attention to clear origins when it comes to meat: our sausage and meat specialties at the breakfast buffet come exclusively from South Tyrolean livestock farming. In this way, we support regional agriculture, short supply chains, and traceable product origins.
Culture and Region
Local handicrafts, information about nature and culture, as well as authentic experiences are also part of our offerings. We want to convey not just a holiday place but a genuine feeling for the surroundings to our guests.
Therefore, sustainability for us does not only mean environmentally conscious actions but also appreciation of the cultural and regional identity of our house and its surroundings.
Speaking Honestly About Sustainability
The Good Travel Seal audit confirmed that we have already successfully implemented many measures. At the same time, it also showed us where we can explain and document our sustainability work even better in the future. We see this as an opportunity: sustainability is a journey for us, not a finished state.
We want to remain transparent and not claim anything that we do not actually live. Therefore, it is important to us to openly show what is already in place and how we are developing further. This is how we understand sustainable action: consciously, realistically, and credibly.
Our Commitment
Our goal is to enable a vacation that is connected with respect for nature, the region, and resources. In doing so, we rely on renewable energy, short distances, regional products, and a responsible operation. We believe that especially small businesses can make an important contribution through clear decisions.
